The Top-of-Pole UPM3X was a perfect fit.  The mounting and assembly was simple with easy to follow instructions.  I highly recommend this kit and will be purchasing future kits from the same company.

We purchased the solar panels and mount a little over two years ago. Finally got it all put together this winter. It held up well on our last breezy day when Pendleton Airport recorded sustained 35 mph wind with 70+ mph gusts. Seems to be holding up well.

This is my first solar project and I ordered everything from Backwoods solar. They set me up with the UPM-3X post mount from General Specialties Mfg. It went together with no problems. When I decide to upgrade later I will be ordering from General Specialties again.

Our installation is located at 6800' in the Sierra Nevada so we needed a robust mounting solution to keep our array 20' above ground to prevent it from being buried in snow. Such a high mount introduces the concern of wind load especially with stormy wind gusts. General Specialties customized a mount based on my needs. I completed the install myself and feel confident that the hardware will last for the lifetime of the array in our harsh location.

I have recently upgraded my system with a pole mount, adding 2 190w panels to my system. The new array allowed me to expand the collection period by offsetting the new array by 5deg. The new mount installed easily and securely. This system installed by JC Solar and Wind Harrisville, NY.

I work for Solar Energy International and we are a non-profit that specializes in providing industry leading training and expertise in solar electrical design and installation. We conduct hands on training at our facility in Paonia, Colorado. General Specialties TOP mount is a very robust product that can stand up to the abuse that our classes put equipment through. Every class we disasseble and reassemble the system 3 times in a week which is more then the average rack is designed to do, but General Specialties continues to perform very well. I personally really like the design and the tilt angles that the rack is capable of, really lend to northern lattitudes and will shed snow before any other system at our training facility! On top of it's robust design, the turn around on ordering these racks is fantastic and Katie Heim is a pleasure to work with. If your looking for a great product and a quick turn around, then I highly recommend these guys!
